The Loire Valley

Stretching along the River Loire through the heart of France, the Loire Valley is one of the country’s most diverse wine regions. Sacavin’s interest extends along its length, from Sancerre in the east to Muscadet in the west, embracing an extraordinary variety of landscapes, vineyards and wines.

Anjou & Saumur

Within the wider Loire Valley, the wines of Anjou have particular significance for Sacavin. It was here that the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Sacavin was founded, establishing a connection with the region that continues today. Together with neighbouring Saumur, Anjou is home to vineyards producing an impressive range of wines, with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc among the varieties closely associated with the area.

Our Loire Connection

The Loire remains at the heart of Sacavin. Through tastings, vineyard visits and journeys to the region, members have opportunities to discover its wines, meet producers and experience the places and traditions behind them.
